"GURU BRAMHA,GURU VISHNU,GURUR DEVO MAHESHWARA..GURU SAKHSHATH PARABRAMHAM..TASMEI SHRI GURAVE NAMAHA"..guru or teacher in hindu mythology is accorded position as exalted as that of the trinity of gods..he is compared to Bramha(the creator) who sows in his disciples the seed of knowledge ..he is at par with lord Vishnu(the caretaker)who nurtures the young sampling and oversees its growth into a beatiful flower & fruit bearing tree..he is eqitable to Shiva(the destroyer)who teaches the highly impressionable to vanquish evil and conquer vice..he is the ocean in whom all streams culminate,in whose benevolent tutelage one acquires "Bramham" or ultimate knowledge..to that teacher who is the fountain head of knowledge..my humble obesiances
